Why do plants generate heat?
Our aim is to unravel the mechanisms of heat generation, leading to a better understanding of biological phenomena and future applications.
In this era of globalized heating and cooling, understanding the relationship between "flowers" and "heat" is crucial for building rich ecosystems and ensuring stable agricultural production. Even in general plants, the effects of heat generated in microscopic spaces within the body are not well understood. We are conducting research with the aim of understanding both "bulk heat" generated from the entire organ and tissue of plants, and "local heat" generated from the movement of electrons and molecules within cells.
